Glen Strae is a family run, working farm and holiday lodge. As a family we have enjoyed many holidays in the Glen and adore this dramatic landscape, the endless outdoor activities and friendly home. We hope you do too!

Our traditional Scottish lodge is not achingly smart but it is incredibly homely, warm and comfortable. It is our family’s second home.

The Glen is truly your playground. As a family we highly recommend endless damn building, BBQs, target practise with the air gun (which can be provided), swimming in the river, den building and then relaxing by the fire with some freshly caught fish and a dram of local whiskey. And if that hasn’t tired you out enough, why not bring your mountain bikes for exploring even more!

From Loch Lommand & The Trussocks, to Oban and the Islands, the surrounding area is full of stunning places to see and exciting things to do. Famous for its walking and spectacular views, its endless activities and array of wildlife, the Highlands are sure to enchant.
WHERE WE ARE
Duiletter Lodge, Lochawe, Dalmally, Argyll, PA33 1AP
The lodge is about 2.5hrs north of Glasgow, 40 minutes from Oban and about 8hrs from London.
Dalmally Train Station is just a 10 minute drive from the lodge. Trains run from Glasgow to Oban about four times a day but be warned it is a very local service so do double check the times!
Upper Tyndrum is the train station required if wishing to travel from/to the South by sleeper train…which is the very best way to to travel in our opinion! Tickets and times can be found here.
The nearest international airport is Glasgow Paisley Airport. There are good hire car services here which we recommend as you will want a mode of transport once at the lodge. Otherwise taxis from the airport to the lodge cost in the region of £100.
Connell is the nearest small aircraft airfield should it be required.

Prices start from £600 for a long weekend. Our wildlife manager, ghillie and stalker’s time is additional to this and subject to your unique requirements at £15 per hour. We highly recommend this as an extra to ensure you have the best possible break and make the absolute most of Glen Strae. We are fully insured and VAT registered.
